CASA Sequatchie Valley

CASA recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates who speak up for the best interests of children involved in juvenile court proceedings, primarily due to abuse or neglect.

Serving the youth of Bledsoe, Grundy, Marion, and Sequatchie counties, these trained community volunteers gather information, monitor cases, and provide independent recommendations to the court to help ensure each child has a safe, permanent home. As part of the Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency (SETHRA) and the broader Tennessee and National CASA networks, the program relies on dedicated local volunteers who complete screening, background checks, and specialized training (typically around 30–36 hours) before being appointed by a judge.

Volunteers are always needed. Anyone interested in making a lasting difference for vulnerable children in the Sequatchie Valley region is encouraged to reach out.
