The premier federally funded early childhood program serving children and families across Bledsoe, Grundy, Marion, Rhea, and Sequatchie counties in rural Tennessee. With its central office at 501 Westfield Place, Jasper, TN 37347, SVHS has proudly supported the Sequatchie Valley area for over 30 years, helping more than 400 children and families prepare for school and life. Free comprehensive services include high-quality education, school readiness curriculum, health screenings/immunizations, nutritious meals/snacks, family support, and community resources — all focused on low-income families. success.
Programs Offered:
- Early Head Start (Ages 0-3): Full-day care, 5 days/week, 7.25 hours/day (August–June). Locations include South Pittsburg and Tracy City in/near Marion County.
- Head Start (Ages 3-5): Part-day (4 days/week, 5 hours/day) and full-day (5 days/week, ~7 hours/day) options. Multiple sites across the five-county area.
