Also known as South Pittsburg Area Revitalization Quest is a dynamic community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing South Pittsburg, Tennessee, and making it an even better place to live, work, and visit. Composed of action-oriented local volunteers and leaders, SPARQ focuses on long-term, impactful improvements through economic development, beautification & arts, and events & marketing.
Key Initiatives
- Arts in the Burg — Their flagship program that transforms downtown into a vibrant arts and entertainment destination. It features working artist studios, gallery space, monthly Second Saturday events with live music, art markets, food trucks, and classes in painting, pottery, and more (open Thursday–Saturday).
- Downtown beautification and placemaking projects
- Community events and festivals
- Partnerships to support small businesses and cultural growth
