The Sam H. Werner Military Museum

A non-profit museum in Monteagle, Tennessee, dedicated to honoring veterans and preserving military history for future generations. Opened in Spring 2017, the museum showcases the extensive personal collection of Sam “Bud” H. Werner, who collected military artifacts for over 50 years.

The goal is to pay tribute to brave veterans while educating younger generations about military service and history. Many items are displayed outdoors in static displays that are accessible 24/7 year-round.

The exhibits span from World War I through the present day and include:

  • Military vehicles
  • Weapons
  • Uniforms
  • Equipment
  • Other historical artifacts

Visiting Information

  • Hours: Currently open Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Private/group tours are available by appointment. Outdoor static displays are viewable anytime.
  • Admission: Free (donations of money or military items are welcome and appreciated).
